Global Youth Science & Technology Elite Gathering — 2025 AI for the Future
To implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the National Science and Technology Conference, further improve young people's scientific literacy in China, and guide them to practise the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and take part in global governance. Jointly hosted by the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Leadership Development Centre, the Beijing Science and Technology Education Promotion Association, the Chongqing Association of Youth Science and Technology Educators, the Shaanxi Association of Youth Science and Technology Educators, the Jiangsu Association of Youth Science and Technology Educators and the Shenzhen Industry-University-Research Cooperation Promotion Association, the 2025 Global Youth Science & Technology Elite Gathering series will be launched in full this May.
The event takes “AI for the Future” as its theme and focuses on the deep integration of AI and sustainable development. In the second half of 2025, showcase events will be held successively in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Delta, the Yellow River basin, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Chengdu-Chongqing region. The programme includes public lectures, the youth robotics and AI challenge, the youth science video open call, the “Leadership Program” study tours, the “Future Young Diplomats” programme and “AI for the Future” volunteer service.
